Preludes and transcriptions: different genres and eras, reimagined at the piano.

The second volume of Piano Contrasts brings together pianists Michael Amian and Tigran Petrosyan, exploring the expressive range of the piano across contrasting styles and genres.

At the heart of the evening are Ziv Sabag’s preludes, alongside piano transcriptions of works by Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney – an unexpected dialogue between classical tradition and contemporary culture.

As in the cycle’s opening concert, a specially conceived projection design will accompany the performance, extending the idea of contrast into the visual dimension.
