“PERFECT HAPPINESS?”
Music from Germany
David Petersen – Bassoon
Lilit Grigoryan – Piano
September11 (Friday) | 19:00
Philharmonia | Babajanyan Concert Hall
Professor at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre, pianist Lilit Grigoryan, together with David Petersen, principal bassoon of the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, present a concert program based on their collaborative album “Perfect Happiness?”
The question mark in “Perfect Happiness?” is not accidental: the title of the fifth piece from Schumann’s Scenes from Childhood becomes a point of departure for an artistic exploration, raising the question of where perfect happiness begins.
Program:
Robert Schumann – Scenes from Childhood, Op. 15
Theodor Kirchner – New Scenes from Childhood, Op. 55
Ignaz Moscheles – Grand Duo Concertant, Op. 34
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy – Songs Without Words, Sonata No. 1, Op. 45, in a version for Bassoon and Piano
