“Kap” (translated from Armenian as “connection”) is a performance that explores the boundaries of empathy.
The piece consists of two parts, each configuring the interaction between performers and audience in a different way.

In both parts, the performers do not use pre-written or memorized text as the material for stage action. All of the text in the performance—all the logos—is born in real time, within the space of the audience.

Responding to that text, the performers initiate a complex process of emotional and semantic exchange, in which it quickly becomes unclear—and ultimately irrelevant—who is the author and who is the spectator.

Thus emerges a shared space of action and empathy, which manifests differently each time and depends entirely on the composition of the participants.
